Useful colt who had a productive spell in Dubai for Fawzi Nass earlier this year, including a 7f handicap win in February. Gelded ahead of this debut for new yard and he has to enter calculations.

Bagged 1m York handicap off 1 lb lower last summer and positive start to this season when third over 7f here in April. Shaped as though amiss back on the Knavesmire recently but quick turnaround suggests that all is well and he's one to consider, for all that Tudhope jumps ship.

Started last season by finishing a fine second in the Lincoln and ended it with an equally solid display in the Balmoral at Ascot. However, those efforts (like all his best turf form) were on slower ground and it's been almost 2 years since he last got his head in front.

Ended last term on a winning note at Redcar and first past the post (subsequently demoted to second) in the 21-runner Spring Mile at Doncaster (1m, good) in March. However, well held on the AW since and he's another who appears to be at his best when there's plenty of cut in the ground.

Looked promising earlier in his career and struck twice for this yard last season, notably bagging a decent handicap at Ascot (1m, good to soft) in September. Misfired on final run of 2024 (since undergone a wind op) and could ideally do with rain (best form on good or slower).

Successful at Kempton (1m) in December and went close back there over 7f in March. Stepped up on previous turf efforts when third at Newmarket earlier this month but followed that with a below-par display and he looks vulnerable here.

Developed into a useful handicapper for Roger Varian in 2024, the feature of which was a clear-cut success over this C&D last June. Better than he was able to show on return/debut for new connections (sold for 110,000 gns during the autumn) in the Lincoln and he's not discounted.

On the up last autumn when visored, scoring over 7f here and at Chester on good/heavy before a couple of respectable efforts in listed company. Solid third returned to the Roodee for her recent reappearance but she's on a stiff-looking mark and ground faster than good would be a worry.

Progressive during second half of last season, making it 3 wins from 4 starts with a determined display on the July Course at Newmarket in August. Back on the up when adding to his tally on the Rowley Mile there (1m, good to firm) 3 weeks ago and this 6 lb higher mark should be within reach.

Displayed a willing attitude when nosing ahead of Thunder Roar in a big-field York handicap (1m, soft) in October. Shaped better than the distance beaten in the Spring Mile at Doncaster and eased 2 lb since, but he's yet another who would ideally be suited by slower ground.

Good AW strike-rate but 0-9 on turf and he's ed over back from a break of almost 3 months.

Notched first win in handicap company at Sandown last June and brought the curtain down on 2024 campaign by adding to her tally at Nottingham (8.3f, heavy), on what was her final run for Alice Haynes. 3 lb rise fair enough and ran well on reappearance last season but she's another who needs rain.

Struggled after landing a maiden over this C&D on his reappearance last season but, having been gelded, he has returned an improved performer this spring, landing 1m handicaps at Wetherby and Leicester on good to firm/firm. Remains feasibly treated and he has to be feared.

In good form last summer (won 3 on the bounce) and notched another handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) during the autumn. However, recent reappearance spin at Kempton left much to be desired, for all that the run was probably needed.

It was a taking performance that GREAT CHIEFTAIN delivered at Newmarket and a 6 lb rise is unlikely to prevent him from following up if in a similar mood. He is clearly very effective on fast ground, whereas several of these are evidently more potent when the mud is flying. Dashing Darcey and the hat-trick seeking Candonomore have no questions to answer conditions-wise and they both make each-way appeal, while No Retreat is also accorded respect on his debut for the George Scott yard.
