It’s no surprise that Nicky Henderson has kept BHALOO on the go into May as he likes this better ground and he can strike in the Clarke Chase at Uttoxeter on Sunday. He proved himself lobbed in at Newbury in March and acquitted himself well off his new mark at Cheltenham in April. There’s been a bit of rain on watered ground but it’s still essentially as Bhaloo likes it here by jumping standards.
FEACH AMACH – 4.33 Kelso
FEACH AMACH has been in super form since switching to Adam Nicol and she could go in again in the Ponsse UK Mares’ Handicap Hurdle at Kelso. Her hat-trick bid came unstuck at Sedgefield last time but she was up against a well-ridden winner by Gavin Sheehan on the front end and this looks a good spot for her to quickly bounce back.
DOC McCOY – 2.58 Fontwell
Talking of Gavin Sheehan on the front end… the well-handicapped DOC MCCOY can quickly follow up in the Back A Winner – Birchwood KIA Chichester Handicap Hurdle at Fontwell. Jamie Snowden’s horse won just three days ago and runs off the same mark here under no penalty for that success in a conditionals race. He can make all again here while he’s in the groove.
