Murt Khan Breaking It Down: Horse racing tip for Towcester on Monday

Murt Khan had another winner on Sunday and our expert has a big-priced selection at Towcester this afternoon.

Recommended Bet: Breaking It Down

1pt e.w Time For Champers in 4.30 Towcester at 16/1 (General 1/5 1,2,3) - Dropped like a stone in the weights and could take advantage in this weak contest.

This is a very mediocre contest.

Taurian has been pretty consistent this year and should run her race, but her being the 2/1 favourite is an indication of how poor a race this is.

It really is hard to enthuse about many but one horse who showed a glimmer last time and could be well handicapped is the bottom weight TIME FOR CHAMPERS.

She was allotted a lofty mark of 100 on his British handicap debut but five runs later she has been dropped 26lb and runs today off 74.

Her last run was after a three and a half month lay off over 2m 6f and this was the first time she was ridden with restraint and had encountered decent ground.

It was a reasonably encouraging run as she showed up for a long way but didn't seem to see out the trip.

Off a 5lb lower mark and with a drastic drop down in trip today it will be interesting to see how she get's on.

Connections won't find a much weaker race than this and 16/1 has to be worth an each-way poke.
