Coronavirus: Premier League stars Benjamin Mendy and Callum Hudson-Odoi both self-isolating

Hudson-Odoi displayed cold symptoms on Monday, while Mendy has been isolated as a precaution after a member of his family was itted to hospital displaying symptoms of the virus.

The whole Chelsea's full squad have now gone into self-isolation as a precaution, meaning their match at Aston Villa on Saturday is in serious doubt.

These latest developments follow Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta testing positive for coronavirus.

The club has closed its training ground and any staff or players who have been in recent with Arteta will now self-isolate.

The Premier League will meet on Friday morning to discuss the latest developments, with a feeling games will be played behind closed doors in the near future, but only once advised by the Government.
